EV interior dominated by screens (1)

EV Innovation Is Hiding Where Nobody Looks

A lot of EV innovation today is happening where most people don't even look. And that's the problem.

Because if you look at how most people evaluate EVs, it is fairly simple. What is the battery size? How much range does it provide? How swanky are the interiors?

Very few people are asking what motor is being used. How efficiently is power being delivered. What is actually happening under the hood. You know, like how people were intrigued with traditional ICE vehicles and their engines.

So, naturally, OEMs respond accordingly. More screens. Flashier interiors. Features that are easy to show and easier to sell. And honestly, they are not wrong. They are just reacting to what the market rewards.

In today's market, especially with EVs, the most meaningful improvements are the hardest to communicate, and the easiest ones to sell aren't always what matter most.

Also, at some point, we genuinely need to ask. Did anyone really want this many screens?
