Okay, so JCB did something rather ridiculous, like it always does, by bringing out a hydrogen-combustion-powered land-speed record car.
AND, they smashed it!
406.320 mph or 653.909 kmph (better measure of speed in my humble opinion).
Oh, and that's the average speed. From two hydrogen internal combustion engines, not a fuel cell, producing about 1600 hp combined.
Sure, it is not quite in the road-car territory like the Yangwang U9 Xtreme, but this is still something worth talking about, right? Especially when a company like JCB is backing Hydrogen this heavily, with a 100 Million Pound investment in Hydrogen engines, albeit primarily for heavy machinery.
So... is it time we start raving about Hydrogen the same way we did for EVs during the whole Rimac, Lucid, and Yangwang era?
Or are we waiting for EVs trend to have a phase out?
Because if this is what Hydrogen power proves it can do, maybe there's a stronger case for coexistence of technology, right?
